Our group’s headquarters in Sant Fruitós de Bages has a large space (12,000 m²) which gives a much higher production capacity which is able to adapt to any project. This plant is dedicated to progressive stamping and forming using our own technology.
We also have a clean room to guarantee the cleaning requirements of the automotive sector, automatic washing systems and automated production lines.
Plant specialising in progressive stamping with high technical complexity, use of different materials as well as plastic overmoulding.
Specialist in the manufacturing of tubular rivets and the silver soldering and rivets in electrical contacts.
Plant focused on the automotive sector with up to 1,250-tonne presses. It also has washing, soldering and assembly systems.

History
The Founding of FORMINSA
The founding of FORMINSA dates back to 1985, when Mr Francisco Codina and Mr Josep Sanchez, both with previous experience in metal forming, join forces with the aim of responding to the growing industrial trend toward outsourcing the product manufacturing process.
The Company’s Beginnings
FORMINSA’s business activity begins in the City of Barcelona in the basements of an industrial premises with a surface area of just 500 m².
Move to Vallès
FORMINSA moves to a new location in the town of Sant Quirze del Vallès with a surface area of 1,000 m².
ISO Certificate
FORMINSA obtains the quality guarantee of the ISO standard. The quality system is certified according to the old UNE-EN ISO 9002 standard, equivalent to the current UNE-EN ISO 9001 standard.
Growth
FORMINSA grows and expands its facilities. Work starts in the automotive sector. With the continuous growth of the business, the facilities of Sant Quirze del Vallès are no longer big enough. This meant we had to move to our current location, with a surface area of 5,000 m². These facilities were inaugurated by the then ExCo. Minister of Industry of the Government of Catalonia, Ignasi Ferreres.
3rd Generation
FORMINSA produces the 3rd generation of multi-slide machines. The 3rd generation of multi-slide machines (MAT20) are designed and built. A total of 2 machines are made.
25th Anniversary
The 25th anniversary since the founding of FORMINSA is commemorated. The events culminate with an open day in the Castellbell i el Vilar facilities along with performances by the various cultural organisations of the town (Giants, Baton Twirlers and Choir), bringing together customers, employees and their respective families and suppliers. This event was chaired by the Right Honourable Minister of Industry of the Government of Catalonia, Josep Huguet.
The Environment
The ISO standard certifies FORMINSA’s commitment to the environment. The quality system is certified according to the UNE-EN ISO 14001:2004 standard.
Acquisition of USOTOR
The acquisition of USOTOR, a company which has been running for over 50 years, specialising in the metal stamping sector.

Acquisition of Metal Parts Orcoyen
In January in 2024, Forminsa acquires the company Metal Parts Orcoyen, founded in 1998, whose main business activity has always been in the metal stamping sector (steel, stainless steel and aluminium) of pieces for the automotive sector. From that moment on, this company located in Navarra, becomes Forminsa Navarra. Among its most important clients, are some of the main TIER 1 providers such as Valeo, Lear, BorgWarner, Grupo Antolín and Inalfa.
Specialists in:
Precision metal stamping, with both transfer and progressive presses. The manufacturing of busbars by forming thanks to our own technology. The manufacturing of contacts and their overmoulding, including silver soldering points as well as the manufacturing of rivets.
