FORMIN, S.A. has invested 2.504.000 € in the development of a new production line at its facilities in Sant Fruitós de Bages (Barcelona), for the production and cleaning of BUSBARS for the electric vehicle sector.
This project which has been supported by the MOVES Singulares II programme, has been funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The new line incorporates technological and sustainability improvements in packaging and cleaning, with significant automation of a previously manual process, and contributes to energy savings of more than 650,000 toe per year, as well as a reduction of almost 2 million tonnes of CO2 per year.
This advance will be extended to the future FORMIN facilities in Navarra where the process will be replicated to continue with the expansion and transfer of knowledge to the sector.
